Is there a file I can delete to reset that unread message count? I feel like I've done everything that's suggested to no avail. I have also gone to Mail -> Preferences -> General and verified that Show Dock Unread County is set to "Inbox" but oddly enough, when I click "All Mailboxes" the unread count on the Dock changes to 3. I have rebuilt the inbox, I have deleted the email account from the computer, restarted the computer and then readded it, all it did was bring the unread message count from 19 to 16 on my iMac (still - it should be 3). If I create a smart mailbox that shows only unread messages - it shows up with the correct number (3), when I sort by "Unread Messages" for Inbox, it only shows that I have three unread messages. The MacBook is showing 39 unread messages, and the iMac is showing 16, in actuality there are 3 unread messages.

Both Mac systems are using OS X 10.7.3 and I have never experienced this issue before. My iPhone shows the correct unread message count as well as Outlook Web Access, and on a seperate windows-based computer, Outlook is showing the correct unread message count of 3. I am using a Microsoft Exchange Hosted account (Office 365) and it is the only email account tied to both of my Macs. Problem with images not appearing in emails.Just last week I noticed that both my Email Inbox & Mail Dock Icon is showing an incorrect unread message count on both my MacBook & iMac. Once I found it, I could see that it was set to 3, which is supposed to mean that it shall be activated during startup. Outlook is the e-mail client for faculty and staff PC users on campus. I might add that I have spent some time looking in the Registry Editor to try and find the Load Behavior of the addin. In the 'Your name' field, type the display name of your choice. Perhaps Room Finder will only appear if the Microsoft Exchange addin is activated durin startup? If you have multiple email addresses, select which one you want to change the display name of, and click 'Change.' 4. It seems to me that the issue is connected to the Exchange Addin being inactive at start up.
I have also spent a few hours with our help desk without result. Also, the Microsoft Exchange Addin was again inactive. I tried restarting Outlook and still it was missing. I tried re-enabling it, but the Room Finder icon is still missing (or greyed). Most information points toward the Microsoft Exchange Addin being inactive. I have googled this for a few hours now, and there seems to be some info out there, but not any specific solution to my issue personally. I tried adding it manually by customizing the ribbon, and it did appear, but it was now greyed out. Due to the large number of available conference rooms, it is convenient to use Room Finder. I'm using Outlook 365 at work, and when booking conference rooms for meetings, I have always used the room Finder function.
